I'm certain the novawhores among us can find use for this information.
Troll.
The Amarr are too noble for mere swords.
We like Nova Spears, Halberds, or ******* Nova Maces!

Also to the best of my knowledge you are the chump talking about Amarr suicide vests..... facepalmed super hard when I heard that stupid comment.
he never said what they do or what they look like. 9:57:02 [CPM]Hans_Jagerblitzen:Besides, at the end of the day all this tank business will be a thing of the past once CCP hurries up and finishes the Amarrian A/V Reaver Knives. Not having them is part of the reason tanks seem so OP
Still don't really believe it. But if it were true I'd say don't give us Knives CCP what the hell kind of crusading religious organisation would use knives to bust a tank?
Look to 40k. Thunderhammers!

Though I could pretend I'm a hormogaunt scratching at the hull of a Leman Russ......

Also to the best of my knowledge you are the chump talking about Amarr suicide vests..... facepalmed super hard when I heard that stupid comment. I too laughed at the "Amarr Suicide Vests". If any race is going to adopt suicide vests as a legitimate tactic, let it be the minmitar. They know what it means to sacrifice themselves for a greater cause that is not their own, and with their technical and tinkering abilities, I'm sure they can find a way to jury rig some remote explosives and core locus grenades to a dropsuit, and would be more than willing to charge headlong into a crowd of enemies for the republic. You're full of **** mate. Yeah sure Minmatar terrorists would do that kind of thing, though we all know the Bloody Hands don't give a rats arse about freeing slaves, just killing people.
If anyone knows what it is to serve a noble and selfless cause its the Amarr.

Breakin Stuff wrote:Aero Yassavi wrote: Exactly, this is what I was trying to explain when the subject of suicide vests came up. I guess Breakin_Stuff was just trolling suggesting that because Amarr are religious they would be the ones to run suicide vests, which is actually quite offensive (like actually legit real life offensive). And actually, most people in New Eden are religious (except notably a sizable portion of the Caldari who are atheist), it's just the Amarr are the only ones with such a large empire based around it.
You wish I was trolling. I really think it would be fun as hell to have them in the game. And bluntly suicide bombers tend to be rather convinced they'll be rewarded in the afterlife for their "sacrifice" IRL, and I don't see that changing just because the amarr try to pretend they're more civilized than the matari. So you're bloody well right I see this as a probable amarr weapon. Quote: The Amarr view all life as sacred, even clone life, and would view the act of suicide bombing as reckless and sinful. Meanwhile, the Minmatar are much more suited for this, not only because they are the explosive fanatics but because, as you said, they know what it means to sacrifice themselves for a greater cause. Additionally their views on death do not place bodies, especially clone bodies, as sacred. Sacred on one side, enemies on another. Even in New Eden lore the Amarr subordinate the needs of the spirit to the realities of the battlefield. So don't try and pull the "they would never do this" card.
But that doesn't make sense, you are applying real world aspects of minor sects of greater beliefs to one greater whole of a fictional religion that only loosely resembles one of our own. If you want to make claims like that spend you time citing canonical instances of the use of such devices amongst the Amarr.
Otherwise all you are saying is garbage and that you have little understanding of the universe of New Eden.
We wouldn't pull the "we wouldn't do this" card in any instance other that one that wholly does not fit in with Amarrian cannon. As I mentioned before you have provided no evidence save for shallow and narrow minded assumptions and half misunderstood aspects of another culture, which could be as fictional to the Amarr as their culture seems to us.
In many instances the Amarrr have inconsistencies. They strive to uphold the tenets of a God who they believe would give them a universe to rule, and as such must adhere to the moral and cultural standards the Scriptures put forth for them. But in combat where those established laws and rules break down, no one could say they don't commit sin.
